Trauma doesn’t always look like one clear event. Many people I work with carry the effects of long-term stress, emotional neglect, masking, or repeatedly having to push beyond their limits. These experiences can live in the nervous system, showing up as anxiety, shutdown, hyper-vigilance, emotional overwhelm, or feeling disconnected from yourself and/or others.
My work is grounded in nervous system–informed and trauma-responsive approaches. We focus on safety, choice, and pacing rather than pushing through painful material. Depending on your needs and readiness, we may integrate EMDR, IFS, somatic or sensorimotor work to gently process experiences and support regulation.
Rather than going back into the past, we focus on building understanding and support for the parts of you that are still affected, so there’s more ease in the present. Over time, we gently connect with these parts and the emotions they carry, helping them feel safer and more integrated in your day-to-day life.
I have a collaborative, open and client-centred approach. You are always in control of the direction and pace of the work.
If you’re curious whether this approach might be supportive for you, you’re welcome to reach out to schedule an initial consultation or ask questions. After you reach out, I’ll respond with next steps and options for scheduling. You’re always welcome to ask questions before deciding anything.
